Should I drink
Cranberry Juice
FAQ Question:
Should I drink cranberry juice?

FAQ Answer:
If you suffer from cystitis, urinary tract infections, stone formation or mucus in the urine then cranberry juice may be indicated. If you have a catheter or undertake intermittent self-catheterisation, you have a greater risk of developing a urinary infection, cranberry juice may help to reduce this risk.

If you take Warfarin or any other anti-coagulant treatment then you should not drink Cranberry juice or take Cranberry capsules as it can interact with the medication; if you need more information then you should contact your doctor or nurse. Cranberry juice should also not be taken by diabetics as it contains sugar. Cranberry juice is acidic and may cause irritation to the stomach in people who have ulcers or are prone to heartburn.
