The water is not going into my stoma - what can I do?

FAQ Answer:
There could be a number of reasons - please look at the possible causes and solutions below:

Cause: cone tip is blocked with faeces
Solution: remove cone, clear away debris and recommence
Cause: cone resting against bowel mucosa
Solution: adjust position of cone as above
Cause: tense
Solution: deep breathing, relax
Cause: insufficient pressure gradient
Solution: raise level of reservoir
Cause: too much water is being used
Solution: reassess volume and adjust accordingly
