Multiple sclerosis affects people differently. That’s why people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis should have a thorough assessment by a specialist neurological rehabilitation team. This team may include a specialist nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker and speech therapist who will identify the individual’s specific requirements for treatment and support.

As well as providing care and advice, members of the neurological team will help people with multiple sclerosis to do as much as possible for themselves, including taking care of their own treatment, where possible.
