Top tips for writing to your MP:
- Keep your letter brief – no longer than two pages
- Use the appropriate title for the recipient – MP, MSP, MS, or MLA
- Make sure to include your full name, address, postcode, and email - MPs prioritise correspondence from their constituents, so including your full details allows them to verify this and respond to you
- Make it very clear what action you would like your MP, MSP, MS, or MLA to take.
- Once you have sent your email you may get an automated reply. This does not mean that the email will not be looked at, this is just acknowledging it.
